Aaron and I have been blessed by our friend Sarah so much since Lily was born. Sarah has sacrificed at least 5 nights of sleep to come help us with Lily. She has stayed up with Lily all night so Aaron and I could get a good nights' sleep. You can only imagine how nice that was. She has even come over some days to keep Lily so I can get out of the house for a little while. I'm beginning to think she just really likes hanging out with Lily. And I know that Lily really likes her. Lily listens to Sarah tell her all about what's going on in her life. It's pretty funny to hear their conversations. We will be forever grateful to Sarah for her helping us. Hopefully we can return the favor to her one day. Thanks Sarah!

Thanksgiving at Our House
With Lily being so young, we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving at our house. It was so nice being home for the holiday. I even attempted to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks to our good friend, Sarah, we had a full meal and good company. You can see from Aaron's plate above how much we had.
Tonight my dad, stepmom, sister and niece came to visit. I cooked so much that we had plenty of leftovers. It was good to visit with them and show off Lily. Lily's cousin, Olivia, loved Lily - she even wanted to hold her. The picture of the two of them shows our attempts to let her hold Lily. I'm sure one day she'll be telling Lily what to do and teaching her all sorts of stuff.
Overall we've had a great Thanksgiving. I'm so thankful for good time with family.

Where to Blog at 5 AM...
Thankfully Aaron and I are blessed to have the convenience of a laptop. When it's 5:30 am (or some days 2:00 am) and Lily is wide awake, it's nice to be able to check email, read blogs, etc. I find the comfort of our couch to be the best place. The above picture is from just a few minutes ago. Lily is resting on her Boppy (about to fall asleep - YEAH!!!) and I am downloading pictures from my camera so that I can show you where I spend most of my time. For now I find that this is the best place for me to update everyone on what's going on in our lives. If it was somewhere else in the house this might not be so easy.

Creative Ways to Entertain Lily
Over the past week I have decided that I have got to find ways to entertain Lily without holding her all of the time. I tried a sling and so far she doesn't want anything to do with that. I tried a bouncer and she's okay for maybe 5 minutes. Well today I tried the Baby Bjorn. Success! She fell right asleep, even breathing well. I know it might seem odd, but I guess I'll just do chores around the house wearing the Baby Bjorn. If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know.

Praise Report and Pictures
Lily had a doctor's appointment yesterday to check her weight gain. She gained 6 ounces, now weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz. That's 2 ounces shy of her birth weight. We are so excited! Thank you for your prayers. Definitely continue to pray for weight gain, good eatin', and open airways. We don't go back to the doctor for 2 weeks.

Back Home - Thankfully
We finally got home from the hospital Thursday afternoon. Even though we were only there 3 days - it was a LONG 3 days. I'm hoping we don't have to go back for a long while. After monitoring her at the hospital they decided to put her on oxygen while she sleeps. Actually it's pretty comforting to know that she is breathing okay. Please continue to pray for Lily. Pray that she eats well, gains weight, and grows. The more she grows, the hope is that her jaw will grow therefore helping her breathing.
